Severe Crisis in Lebanon

A pastor writes:

“Dear supporters and friends in Germany, thank you for your prayers and your willingness to stand by our side in these terrible weeks and months that our country is going through now. The situation has become very bad, even catastrophic.

The economy has collapsed from 1,500 Lebanese pounds to $ 1, to 7,000 LPs per $ 1. People are losing their jobs, businesses, restaurants and shopping centers are closing, supermarket shelves are empty. Banks don’t give people their money because most Lebanese savings are just numbers in the bank. The national bank is bankrupt. There is no cash, the whole world refuses to help us as long as Hezbollah is in control. And unfortunately that is the case.

People riot, hunger knocks on every door

Hezbollah supporters also take to the streets to prevent people from using their right to protest. We are on the way to a new civil war. There is material, social, emotional, physical and spiritual pressure.

In recent weeks we are forced to live on the financial help we get from abroad to buy food and help the needy around us. We cannot forget the tears that flow from the eyes of the families we have helped, because the Lebanese are not used to having such an emergency. ”

When I read this, I knew that God was about to intervene in this country. It is clear that the enemy is angry. He knows that God is moving in this part of the world and that the presence of God is about to manifest itself more and more clearly there.

Our involvement is more relevant now than ever!  It helps to strengthen the Christian´s faith and enables new believers to grow in faith and the knowledge of God´s love.

Lebensmittelverteilung für syrische Flüchtlinge in Zeltständten im Libanon durch die Spenden von Himmelsperlen International

Although a tragic situation, there are already  some very positive outworkings. The severe crisis has led to a spiritual openness and revival amongst the Lebanese.

Food distribution for Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon, is already available through donations from Himmelsperlen International.

Currently, we are also preparing to transport relief goods including food and clothing to Beirut.
